I&#039;ve been unsubscribing from more and more &quot;guru&quot; lists, since it seems like one has a launch and the other 20 or more send affiliate announcements.  It can be annoying, but I understand it.

What I&#039;m doing is unsubscribing if the emails become excessive, but going to their blogs and following their rss feed.  Seems to be a good compromise.</description>

A lot of groups and sites allow the person to create a mailing list from people on their lists, and you can get consistent mailings from them unless you unsubscribe.  That is spam to me, being invited to an unlimited number of OTHER groups and networking sites.

We do have control over this, it is like weeding - you need to do it a number of times every week to keep it under control.
